Hotel Eggers - Gothenburg

Had a fairly nice stay here during our trip. The breakfast was good hot and wonderful with cheese, yogurt plus great breads, worth the price. Amazing service overall, we enjoyed it. Moreover, parking was nearby. The location was great and unique, staff were exceptional!

Apart from a missing socket in the bathroom for hair dryers, there was nothing to complain about.

No parking at the hotel, the restaurant was closed.

The place was full of character and of course is ideally suited for the bus and train station.

It is expensive compered to other hotels. It is starting to be a bit worn in places.

Excellent hotel with good food and facilities. Location unbeatable for rail travellers like us -it's right outside the railway station. We had a room upgrade offered on arrival without extra charge, and got a large room with four-poster bed and chandelier and excellent bathroom facilities. Older-world atmosphere which suited us very well - very little plastic and chrome and no fancy gimmicks.

Actually despite its age a stylish hotel, breakfast and beds very fine. Central location.

After (at least in our room) there was no air conditioning, you have to leave the window open, which leads to a sleepless night due to the noise level. The tram almost goes through the room. absolutely take rooms to the courtyard, little things like on the balcony 1 but not 2 armchairs, bathroom estimated 4, felt 2 m2, breakfast during the week until 9.30am.

Really nice look and feel of the hotel, old and well restored. The breakfast was great.

The location was marvellous and unique, staff were exceptional. Everything was modern and within 23 minutes' drive of Gothenburg City airport.

Eggers was always there! My parents stayed there when I was a child, I've stayed there before. It's reassuring. Feels solid and everlasting, retaining some old atmosphere, good solid heavy room keys, not the silly card nonsense that I find difficult to use, yet bathrooms and other essential facilities have been updated. Only the wifi broadband facility was disappointingly slow.

Desperate Need of soundproofing considering the location... Synthetic lines, pillows and throw.... Made the night hard to get thru. Considering the heat in the room already. Setting guests up in best rooms avail. Educate staff in the 'meaning of a very simple word, >>'Hospitality'.
